I study the antecedents, consequences, moderators and mediators of perceptions of organizational justice (i.e., fairness in the workplace), organizational politics, and related constructs.
My research includes both laboratory and field studies.
Constructs under study include fairness or justice perceptions, commitment, citizenship behaviors, perceived support, emotions, sources of perceptions, psychological contracts, LMX, stress and depression, personality and organizational politics, to name a few.
The Byrne Organizational Psychology Lab runs a variety of projects including studying the effects of technology on fairness perceptions, emotional labor and justice, how organizational politics interact with justice, and stress outcomes of injustice. We’ve recently added the examination of employee engagement. |
