Purple Striped Opal Socks
Materials: 1 ball Opal sock yarn. I can't remember the colorway name, but it had something to do with fish My purple opal socks are done! They made their debut at Lambspun in December.
Needles: U.S. #0 DPNs from Crystal Palace. (My favorite sock needles!)
Guage: About 7 sts / inch, stockinette.

Notes: I didn't use the traditional heel flap construction on this pair. I used a technique I learned from Lucy Neatby's book Cool Socks, Warm Feet. The heel is sort of worked in two wedges, and actually fits better (in my opinion). It doesn't slide around on your foot as much. These socks are done now. More warm wool socks for the winter. :)

Yet another pair of socks from Opal. My favorite brand of sock yarn! Wears well, washes well, and comes in lots of fun colors. :)
