Mountains and Desert Socks
Materials: Lang Yarns, JaWoll Color Aktion (75% New wool, 25% Nylon) Color: 132.0199
A picture will be added soon!
Needles: U.S. #0 DPNs from Crystal Palace. (My favorite sock needles!)
Guage: Who knows? Probably my usual 7-8 sts/inch. I generally make the cuff on my socks about 72 sts around for the calf, decreasing to about 64 for the ankle area, and then decrease to about 60 around the instep.

Notes: I really just fell in love with the colors of the yarn. I'm using this pair as a trial for a couple of new shaping techniques. First, I made the arch area of the foot concave, to hug my foot more (as opposed to some socks that sag a bit around the foot). Also, I adjusted my toe section: I didn't work the decreases on the big toe side as early as the decreases on the little toe side, thus making the area around the big toe 'taller'. Hmmm... They seem to fit well, but the arch area is a bit too shaped.
