- Towns & Major Landmarks: (South to North) Yukon River, Kanuti National Wildlife Refuge, Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge, Finger Mountain, Arctic Circle crossing (where everyone gets their picture taken), Gobblers Knob (great views of the Brooks Mountains to the north!), Coldfoot - town, Arctic Interagency Visitor Center, Wiseman - town, Gates of the Arctic National Park & Preserve, Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Galbraith Lake, Toolik Lake & UAF Field Station (UAF site not open to the public), Deadhorse - town, Prudhoe Bay.
The Taylor Highway, including U.S. portion of the Top of the World Highway

- Distance: 150 miles (40% paved)
- Towns & Major Landmarks: (North to South) Yukon-Charley National Wild & Scenic Rivers, Eagle - town, West Fork Campground, Fortymile River, U.S./Canada border crossing and Customs, Chicken - town, Walker Fork Campground, Mount Fairplay (great views!).
The Denali Highway

- Distance: 135 miles (15% paved)
- Towns & Major Landmarks: (West to East) Brushkana Creek & Campground, Susitna River, Tangle Lakes & Campground. The best part about driving this highway is the views to the north of the Alaska mountain range!
