I grew up very familiar with the Big Thompson Canyon and Colorado Highway 34. Upon moving here, I found a 'new' canyon to enjoy. Colorado Highway 14 runs from east of Fort Collins up through Poudre Canyon, across Cameron Pass and continues west. This picture was taken near the beginning of the canyon. The Poudre River is just off to the left of the Road.

The first time I drove CO14, I thought this tunnel was just neat. For some reason, this hillside has added character.

Profile Rock. Aptly named! Along this road, there is also a hillside named "Sleeping Elephant". I have yet to get a picture of this landform - but it really does look like a sleeping elephant!

A hill off to the north side of the road. Unfortunately, my camera doesn't do much for the lighting at the time. The sun was just starting to go down and everything was starting to glow pink.

My Uncle Bill collects pictures of outhouses. He gets a kick out of them. So when I saw this Forest Service trailhead and rest area covered in snow, I knew I had to take a picture.

This was the sunset as I headed back southeast into Fort Collins. It was a beautiful sky!
