| Dollar Drive | |||
| After discussion with alumni members, our chapter created a fun and simple way to raise funds for 4-H and FFA in a philanthropy known as the Dollar Drive. In the spring of 2008 our chapter sent letters to all the Colorado State University Greek chapters, other Sigma Alpha chapters from across the country, alumni members, parents and friends asking them to donate $1 per member/person to support youth in agriculture. In additional to sending the letters, we also held the Welcome Back Philanthropy BBQ in the Fall to continue to raise funds. | |||
| We were amazed at the response as we collected over $1,000. This money was used to purchase a hog from a young boy at the Fremont County Fair. It is our hope to continue to purchase animals on a yearly basis from youth around the state at County Fairs. The major benefit of this program was supporting youth in agriculture. Many Sigma Alpha members grew up raising animals for their local county fair and understand the hard work and dedication it takes to prepare these animals for market. This was an awesome opportunity for our members to sit on the other side of the sale pen and purchase animals instead of selling them. | |||

| Each spring, over one thousand CSU students gather for a day-long service project in and around the Fort Collins community! We participated in CSUnity 2009, which was a community service project put on by Colorado State University. Our girls split up into multiple groups and had different project to help community members around Fort Collins. Click HERE to view photos. | |||
