WE WELCOME NEW PLAYERS WITH OPEN ARMS The first informational meeting about the team is August 28th at 7 pm in the Rec Center lounge. RECAP OF THE LAST YEAR'S AMAZING 2005 - 2006 SEASON It was just such a great season -- with amazing trips to Utah, Arizona and Maryland for tourneys, and our first highly-successful "Battle of the Rockies" tourney that we hosted. The seniors graduate having never lost to our in-state rival CU (even after having to play them three times their last year -- including their final game!) From being totally unranked four years ago to currently ranked #3 in the nation has been quite a ride! All in all, last year was one of the most spectacular teams and seasons I've ever had the privilege to be a part of. We want to say a HUGE Thank You to all our supporters from last year... we can't wait to see you out here again this year. You all were so amazing and I know how much you helped inspire the team. We're SO PROUD of our girls. They represented CSU with so much class, dignity, spirit and heart. Time & time again at Nationals I was told how much other teams enjoyed playing us because of the quality and sportmanship of the team. It was an amazing season -- one everyone should always be proud of. 2005-2006 BIG FUNDRAISING DRIVE This year, we will again be trying to raise money so we can travel to play some of the top teams in the country outside our region. We need help because we get very little money from the school. Therefore, we all pay individual fees to just to play plus we have to raise money to get through the season. For example, one home game can cost $300 (referee fees) and one away trip out of state can cost upwards of $5,000! That’s why your help -- even a small donation -- can make such a big difference to us. Thank you in advance -- We really appreciate your support! |
