Intern Positions

  • Event Management Intern:
    Responsible for assisting in teh coordination of all Ram Hockey events, which mainly deals with home games, but may also include golf tournaments, ram dinners, alumni games, and autograph signings. As an event mgt intern it is your job to make sure that there are enought volunteers ready to work to ensure that the event goes smoothly. On average there should be 10-12 game day volunteers to run such tasks as: Ticket rippers (2), merchandise (2), t-shirt giveaways, internmission activities (depends), music, announce, penalty box (2), pregame set up, scorer, and other miscellaneous activities. You oversee all operations, create the time line and scripts for each game and make sure all activities are done on schedule.

  • Marketing Intern:
    Responsible for creating community awareness of the CSU Hockey team. This can be done through marketing games, the ad packages (placing and collecting ads), intermission activities and through financial relations campaigns. This internships includes weekely flyers, mailers, and any other promotional items for games and events. The main purpose of this position is to produce more funds for the team, get their name out among the community and produce a larger fan base for the games.

  • Public Relations Intern:
    Responsible for upkeep of fan awareness and attendance. Specific duties include: Keeping the next game box/schedules updated, write weekly pre and post news releases on games and feature stories for events. It is key for this intern to stay in contact with the media. This may include the Collegian, CTV, KCSU, The Coloradoan and any other medium that seems fit for the occasion. You are responsible for retrieving coaches and players for interviews and maintaining the positive image that the team represents. All events (Alumni game, Greek Life, Resident Hal, Faculty Night and Bachelor Auction) are all part of the interns responsibility.

  • Web Master:
    Responsible for all aspects of the csuramhockey.com website.

  • General Information
    All interns are expected to act in the best interest of the CSU Hockey team and to abide by the rules of the team. All interns MUST attend all home games and in the case of shortage of volunteers, interns are expected to step in and help out when needed. Always help out when asked and remember to have fun!
