Global Explorers - Internship

Application Deadline for September-May Internship: June 1st
September 2010-May 2011:
15 hours per week, flexible schedule, three week holiday break during winter recess, unpaid but includes travel experience
Denver Broncos Footbal Club - Publications Intern, February 18th, 2010
Qualifications and Experience:
• Current student or recent graduate in journalism, PR, communications or similar discipline
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a student working for a college newspaper, website, college sports information office or in a communications department of a sports organization.
• Strong writing, interpersonal and computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Willingness to work flexible hours (weekends and travel)
• Comfort working on multiple projects with tight deadlines in fast-paced environment
• Knowledge and experience with video and still photography, HTML, Photoshop and video/audio editing software.
o Basic shooting and editing video skills and demos reels sent with resume will receive extra consideration.
Compensation:
A monthly stipend will be provided during the internship
Additional Information:
• Final candidates will be selected to participate in an interview process (in-person for local candidates/via video conference for out-of-town candidates).
• Recent interns have secured full time jobs with the Indianapolis Colts, Mountain West Conference, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Phoenix Coyotes and major newspapers.
