PRSSA PRSSA has earned the distinction of being the preeminent public relations student organization in the world. PRSSA is proud of its reputation as a national, pre-professional organization. PRSSA invites you to become a member of this society recognized by thousands of public relations practitioners. History PRSSA was founded in 1968 by PRSA to cultivate a mutually advantageous relationship between students and professional public relations practitioners. It further aims to foster students' understanding of modern theories and procedures, to instill in them a professional attitude and to encourage them to adhere to the highest ideas of the practice of public relations. To be a member, students must be enrolled at a college or university where a PRSSA Chapter Charter has been granted. The Colorado State University Chapter was charted in 1975. Mission Statement
National PRSSA National Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) was founded in 1986 by Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). PRSSA was developed to provide relationships between PR students and professional PR practitioners. Today, there are more than 9,600 members in 284 Chapters on college campuses in the country. PRSSA aims to provide the understanding of current theories and procedures of the PR profession, teaches the appreciation of ethical ideals and principles in PR and provides an awareness of an appropriate professional attitude. Every year PRSSA hosts a National Conference for students interested in networking with PR pros from across the nation and to learn more about the current trends in the PR industry. About PRSA Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is the world's largest organization devoted to PR professionals with more than 28,000 members. PRSA, which is based out of New York City, has more than 100 Chapters nationwide and created Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), which has 255 Chapters at colleges and universities across the nation. PRSA strives to be a part of the PR profession and builds within the PR industry by advancing the profession, strengthening the society and establishing global leadership. Every year PRSA hosts an International Conference that brings together PR practitioners and experts from all over the world. RamPR is a student-run public relations firm at Colorado State University. The firm is committed to utilizing practical skills and work experience to create quality public relations pieces for you. RamPR donates all of its time and resources to our clients' needs. Our staff is ready to work with you to implement innovative and creative ideas into your business, club or organization.
