I am an assistant professor of psychology at Colorado State University. I am part of the Perceptual & Brain Sciences program.
The research conducted in my laboratory is aimed at understanding how the visual system allows us to see the world. Visual experiences that most of us take for granted are
analyzed in ways that suggest what the neural architecture of the visual system may be.
A primary interest of mine is how our visual system allows us to see color. It can be argued that color perception is not essential for survival (one can easily image going about life without color vision). Nonetheless, color certainly adds many qualities to our lives. |
