Pavol Krivosik / About

PavolPavol Krivosik was born in Nitra, one of the oldest cities in Slovak Republic, in 1971. He was raised in Klacany in Hlohovec district, a small village dated back to 1256.

Pavol has received his Master (Ing.) degree in Solid State Physics in 1994 (with honor), and PhD degree in Theory of Electrical Engineering in 2001, both from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (FEI) of the Slovak University of Technology. At FEI he was working in Magnetics Group of Department of Electromagnetic Field Theory. During his Master and PhD study his research was mainly focused on the study of magnetic hysteresis and eddy-current relaxation in metallic ferromagnets. Besides his research activities he was intensely involved in teaching and lecturing in Electric Circuit Theory and Electromagnetic Field Theory classes.

In 2000 and 2001 Pavol has joined Magnetics Group at Istituto Eletrottecnico Nazionale Galileo Ferraris in Turin, Italy, as a Visiting Scientist. From that time he loves Italian cuisine, red wine, and the "la dolce vita" lifestyle as well.

In 2003 Pavol has joined the Magnetics Group at the Colorado State University (CSU) as a Post-doctoral Fellow, switching to a new field of magnetic research, the microwave high-frequency magnetization phenomena. Recently he is a Research Scientist III at CSU.
