The Second Ice Nuclei and SPECTroscopy (INSPECT-II) Campaign

INSPECT-II was conducted in the spring of 2004 in conjunction with researchers from several other institutions at the Storm Peak Laboratory (SPL) in Steamboat Springs. This campaign was a follow up to a campaign conducted by researchers from NOAA and CSU studying the chemical composition and concentration of ice nuclei (IN) at the same mountain-top laboratory.

The Tenth Cloud Layer EXperiment (CLEX-10)

The CFDC was deployed for the tenth Cloud Layer EXperiment (CLEX-10) to measure ice nuclei (IN) concentrations in mid-altitude clouds. The project was conducted in conjunction the Canadian CloudSat and CALIPSO Validation Program (C3VP). The operation was based in Ottawa and was conducted during the winter of 2006/2007. The CFDC was deployed for the first three of the four inter-operational periods (IOPs) (November-December of 2006 and January 2007).
