ABOUT ME

I am an assistant professor in the psychology department at Colorado State University.    I completed my Ph.D. at Florida State University in 2004 working with Colleen Kelley.  From there I did a 2 year stint as a postdoctoral researcher at Washington University in St. Louis working with Larry Jacoby prior to coming to Colorado State.

RESEARCH

My research interests are in cognition, particularly human memory.  Specifically, I am interested in those processes that allow us to control memory, including predicting our own memory performance and controlling the accuracy of our memory.  I do this from a variety of perspectives, combining basic experimental methodologies with efforts to examine age-related and individual differences in memory and metacognition.  I also have a number of other interests, including face recognition, social influences on memory, and the quantitative integration of research findings (i.e., meta-analysis).
