The aim of this course is to introduce you to a broad range of feminist work within the field of philosophy. We will focus on feminist work in three main areas of philosophy: political philosophy, epistemology, and ethics. In each of these areas, we will consider a wide range of feminist perspectives, looking at both their critiques of the dominant theories within the area and their points of agreement and disagreement with one another.
