GOALS

Skill Goals:

1) Make historical oral arguments using evidence, analysis and synthesis
2) Develop an appreciation for your own ability to interpret texts
3) Interact with other scholars and incorporate other perspectives into your own interpretation

Knowledge Goals:

1) Develop greater understanding of the assigned texts
2) Develop greater understanding of the specific field of History

REQUIREMENTS

1) Attend class regularly

2) Read (and do your best to understand) the assigned texts before class

3) Bring the assigned reading with you to class

4) Make use of any study guides available

5) Listen to your colleagues

6) When you speak, be prepared to find the specific passage(s) in the text(s) to support your argument
