Bringing the Great Outdoors to the Students of Colorado State
The great State of Colorado is home to some of the most abundant & accessible backcountry terrain in the United States. From the 54 peaks that stand over 14,000 feet tall, to the the highest sand dunes in North America, and everything in between, there is an almost unlimited amount of options for outdoor adventure, right outside our back door. We are remarkably passionate about taking advantage of these incredible adventures that the Colorado outdoors has to offer, but as we look around at our friends & colleagues, we are dismayed that more individuals are not taking the time to enjoy such things. We often find that for many, city life has become much more 'normal & familiar' than our natural areas. We feel that is this a tragic state of affairs, and so our main goal is to afford the opportunity of experiencing outdoor adventure to as many students as we can, regardless of their prior experience level. The Outdoor Club is also resolved to continue to become more involved the greater outdoor community in Colorado, fostering an exchange of ideas & improvement of all things outdoors. As we move forward, we are continuing to establish a dialogue with various organizations & companies that share our interest in Colorado's wilderness, in the hopes that our club can help make a significant difference here in Colorado & beyond. We feel that the student body here at CSU clearly represents the future of America's wild lands, and we aim to connect our members with these interests, promoting communication & growth throughout the outdoor community. Whomever you are & wherever you may be reading this from, we invite you to come join us in these pursuits.
