I am pleased to inform you that your reported results placed Colorado State University among the highest ranks of achievement in the Help America Vote College Program! I would like to congratulate your chapter as the Regional winner of the $500 award in the Mountain West region! Golden Key would like to recognize your chapter's efforts with this monetary award from EAC funding, and two letters of recognition. One from the EAC and a special letter of recognition and gratitude from the President of the United States. The monetary award will go towards subsidizing your chapter's education based service initiatives. To accept this award and receive the winning funds, chapter leaders or representatives are asked to attend the Leadership Training Conference of your chapter's choice, and share your chapter's success with others. Please contact your Associate Director to advise him or her as to which Leadership Training Conference your chapter will attend as an HAVCP award winner.

Many U.S. Golden Key Chapters, including yours, have participated in the Help America Vote College Program. The efforts of your chapter have helped to push this program further towards its goals. Your chapter is among the ranks of the 162 participating chapters that produced results that were, and continue to be, dramatic. These chapters delivered results in 49 states, conducting awareness programs that reached over 350,000 college students. Thousands of students expressed interest and were initially identified to participate in the program, but local government restrictions and other obstacles lessened that amount to 500. Of this number, 425 students successfully served as poll workers on Election Day. They collaborated with hundreds of other organizations, sharing the excellence of Golden Key with each.

Golden Key would like to thank your chapter for its participation in the HAVCP and for a job well done. Your chapter members have served the United States with their efforts and have benefited the election process, catapulting the progress of this new and important initiative. We are proud of your chapter's support of the HAVCP. We made a difference in the November 2004 Presidential Election; but, more importantly, we influenced the future.
