Major General William Dorsey Pender

Attended West Point, class on 1854, finished 19 of 46.

1. Frontier duty before the war. Resigned March 1861.
2. Initial commissioned Captain of C.S.A. Artillery.
3. Elected Colonel of the 3rd North Carolina.
4. Transfered to 6th North Carolina on 15 August 1861.
5. Lead the 6th NC on the Peninsula.
6. Promoted to Brigadier General on 3 June 1862.
7. Fought under A. P. Hill during the Seven Days Battles
8. Fought under Stonewall Jackson at
   • Second Bull Run
   • Antietam
   • Fredericksburg
   • Chancellorsville (wounded 3 times, but did not leave the field)
9. Promoted to Major General 27 May 1863 (age 29).
10. Commanded a division at Gettysburg where he was wounded severly.
