OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The Center for Educational Access and Outreach seeks "to make education accessible to all persons and groups" by developing the talents of ethnically diverse, first generation (neither parent has earned a bachelor's degree), or limited income individuals from ages 11 (6th grade) to adulthood.

The services we provide are designed for those who:

would benefit from receiving information about opportunities in higher education
would like to develop the skills and motivation needed to attend college
would benefit from assistance in the transition so that their rates of persistence and graduation in postsecondary education are increased

making education accessible to everyone

CENTER PROGRAMS

Three of the Center's programs are funded by the United States Department of Education Federal "TRIO" grants. These programs provide services to individuals in Adams, Larimer, Morgan and Weld Counties in Northern Colorado and the Denver Community of Montbello. TRIO Programs assist students in reaching their educational goals through a variety of activities.

The Center’s TRIO Programs include:

Educational Talent Search (ETS)

Upward Bound (UB)

Educational Opportunity Center (EOC)

The Center for Educational Access and Outreach also sponsors this non-TRIO funded program designed to serve Upward Bound and Educational Talent Search high school graduates and select Colorado State University freshmen. The Bridge Program focuses primarily on the retention aspect of such students.
