Exactly what is Alpha Phi Omega?

Alpha Phi Omega is a National Coed Community Service Fraternity based on the principles of the Scout Oath & Law. We are not a social fraternity, our primary reason for existance is community service. Both men and women are welcome.

How much time do I need to commit?

The time commitment is up to the individual member. Although, twenty hours of service, four fellowships, and weekly chapter meetings are the minumum requirements.

How much money do I need to commit?

Dues are paid each semester and vary year to year, typically dues are higher in the fall semester. Some of the costs for fellowships and conferences are convered. For the most part the amount of money is each persons' discretion.

When and where are the active meetings?

Active meetings are Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM and last about an hour. The pledge meeting are SunDay evenings at 6:30 PM. Due to school vacations and religious holidays, some meetings are cancelled. Meetings take place on campus in the Lory Student Center, exact room location is 203/205.

Who can join?

Any full-time student of Colorado State University is eligable to join Alpha Phi Omega. Both men and women are welcome. There are two "rushes" per year, one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester.

Is Alpha Phi Omega part of the Greek System?

Alpha Phi Omega is, in fact, a true fraternity. However, APO is not a "Social" Fraternity, thus is not part of the Greek System. Therefore, a member may join Alpha Phi Omega and be a brother/sister of another fraternity/sority.

Does Alpha Phi Omega have a house to live in?

No, Alpha Phi Omega does not have a house. Members can live where they choose (including another fraternity/sority house).
