Roschwalb International Study Grant Application
AEJMC Public Relations Division
AEJMC Public Relations Division Invites Students To Apply for Roschwalb International Study Grant
Students in public relations whose plans include study or research outside the United States are encouraged to apply for the Susanne A. Roschwalb Grant for International Study and Research, awarded annually by the Public Relations Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications. Full-time undergraduate and graduate students majoring in or emphasizing public relations at four-year colleges and universities in the United States are eligible to apply. An applicant may propose engaging in either an organized university exchange program or an individually designed course of study or research. The 1999 grant will be $250 and is intended to offset a portion of the cost of travel associated with international study or research. Deadline for the receipt of applications is Friday, Feb. 26. In 1997, the grant was awarded for the first time. The winner was Kerry Anderson Crooks, a doctoral student at the University of Florida. The 1998 winner was Anastasia Egorova, a Russian citizen studying at the University of Southwestern Louisiana graduate school. The award honors the memory of American University Associate Professor Susanne A. Roschwalb, who was active in the Public Relations Division until she died in February 1996 at age 56 from complications related to breast cancer. Application rules and requirements are printed on the other side of this announcement. The Roschwalb Grant Committee will notify the winner and unsuccessful applicants by April 1 and will send a check for the amount of the award by May 1. Questions concerning the application process may be addressed to the committee:
