2000 Annual Convention

In 1999, the Public Relations Division inaugurated a new Faculty-Student Buddy Program where 24 faculty members and 12 graduate students participated by meeting with each other at the national conference in New Orleans. With the guidance and help from the faculty who participated, the Program assisted participating students by orienting them to the conference, the Public Relations Division, and the networking opportunities that the faculty could offer.
This year, we hope to expand the Buddy Program and make the experience more satisfying for more students and faculty. I am inviting all faculty members and all graduate students to participate in the Program. We will match interested students with interested faculty, and also, this year, help coordinate times and places to meet at the national conference, which will be held August 9th through the 12th in Phoenix, Arizona.
