WORSHIPAbout || Target Audience|| ACF Sponsorship|| Location || Event Coordinator || Purpose || Topic || Dates || Archives About the CSU Collegiate Worship at the Danforth ChapelThe CSU Collegiate Worship at the Danforth Chapel is a dynamic and spiritual worship for collegiates and young adults in the Fort Collins area. It is a nontraditional worship -- a time to meet with God without the baggage of a traditional church service. Target AudienceThe target audience includes collegiates and young adults (especially CSU students) in the Fort Collins and surrounding areas and anyone else who would like to come. Although this program is put on by individuals who hold the Seventh-day Adventist faith, people of all faiths and persuasions are welcome. ACF SponsorshipThe CSU Collegiate Worship at Danforth Chapel is not an official ACF event, but ACF is a proud sponsor. ACF's sponsorship of this event allows the organizers to secure the chapel at no cost. (Without such sponsorship, it would cost $150 for each service.) ACF recognizes that the CSU Collegiate Worship is specifically for the CSU Adventist collegiates, so we actively promote this event to the community and encourage our members to attend. LocationDanforth Chapel is located on the CSU Campus. From the south side of town, go North on College Avenue. Turn left (west) onto Laurel Street and go two blocks, then turn left onto Howes Street at a stop light. Turn right to get onto the Oval (a large circular drive) and go a little ways around the Oval, then veer off to the right (west) into a small parking area which connects to a bigger parking lot further west (in case you can't park there). On the weekends, all parking marked as A, X, or Z zones is free, as well as any metered parking. The Danforth Chapel is the small building located on the northwest side of the Oval that you passed on your way to the parking lot.
Event CoordinatorCarol Turk is the main organizer this year. Carol and Dan Turk are responsible for the original vision for this event, and most of the planning and preparation that goes into each service. PurposeThe planners of this event want to lift up Jesus Christ to the collegiate and young adults in the area. They feel that it is important to have an avenue of worship where CSU students (and others) can come together in a dynamic and spiritual atmosphere where each participant can come into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. TopicThis year we will be focusing on the following: Who is Jesus Christ? How is He relevant today? Does He or can He affect our daily lives? How can one have a meaningful relationship with Him? DatesOnce a month, from 10:15 AM - 11:45 AM on the following dates (during the Fall semester, this will be on the 2nd Sabbath of each month; for the Spring semester, this will be the 4th Sabbath of each month):
