Volunteers from the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society will be assisting with public viewing sessions for visitors to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Through a grant, the Park obtained two eight inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes and one seven inch Maksutov-Cassegrain. NCAS volunteers may supplement these with their own personal scopes.
WHEN?
Viewing sessions are scheduled for Friday's, near the first and last quarter
of the moon, through August. Friday night dates for this summer are:
July 18 & 25; August 1& 22, 2003.
Sessions will begin at 9:00 pm local time.
WHERE?
Near the Beaver Meadows trailhead. Check at the visitor centers for details.
