An elegant buffet dinner and cash bar, and the best view of the Rocky Mountains from the
city at The Pinnacle Club.
The Club is convenient to both the Denver Public Library and the Comfort Inn.
And the 37th floor setting offered spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains -- from Pikes
peak in the South to Longs Peak in the North. All accompanied by gourmet dining.
After dinner Paul Mathias entertained us with a talk, "The Consequence of Quivira",
describing the incredible sequence of events that narrowly frustrated Spain's powerful
ambitions in North America and allowed, instead, the founding of the United States
and Canada.
