Dr. Hillger is a research meteorologist specializing in satellite imagery for NOAA's National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) Center for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR). The NOAA/NESDIS/STAR Regional And Mesoscale Meteorology (RAMM) Branch is located at the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) on the foothills campus of Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins CO.

Other Hobbies:

Amateur (ham) radio operator, with call sign WDØGCK, and Faculty Advisor and Trustee for the CSU Amateur Radio Club (CSUARC), with call sign WØQEY.
